Mind Your Body

Core Synergy is a combination of Yoga, Pilates and Core Conditioning focused on strength training and developing a strong core and flexible body.  The class starts with a quick cardio warm-up, a series of pilates movements, precise targeted weight bearing exercises, stretching and toning with core synergy straps and poses done at a ballet bar for further strengthening, stretching and toning.  This is a very results oriented class.

 

Core Synergy:

 

§         Brings together the disciplines of Yoga, Pilates, Strength Training and Core-Conditioning

 

§         Is a systematic practice of specific exercises that isolates targeted muscle group in a very precise method while incorporating focused breathing patterns, flowing movements, and deep concentration.

§         Produces long, lean muscles and a strong, flexible, youthful body.

 

How can Core Synergy help your yoga practice?

 

Core Synergy is a series of postures that incorporates control, centering, concentration, breathing, flow and precision which are also essential principles of yoga.

 

The athletic nature of Core Synergy builds strong core muscles, confidence, strength, endurance and a base fitness level, which are all essential elements of building a strong yoga practice.

 

Core Synergy focuses on working from the inside out and exploring sensations through mindful breathing both of which are the cornerstones of yoga.

 

A strong center (core) becomes the foundation of all movement, enabling you to move more freely in poses, as well as move to more advanced poses  without the risk of injury.

 

How can Yoga help your Core Synergy Practice?

Yoga is based on the concept that no pose is ever complete.  There is a challenge to continue to learn, deepen and explore allowing the student to get out of their competitive mind and enjoy the journey without getting fixated on final results.

Yoga students work on moving through the body’s full range of motion, focusing on body awareness, opening areas of tightness and improving overall flexibility,  all of which are key to achieving proper alignment in Core Synergy. 

 

You will benefit from the cross training by engaging muscle groups unique to the yoga practice.
